It Started With One Road Trip.
East Coast Vanlife began with a solo drive from New York to Key West, a car packed for the road, and a realization that traveling could feel a whole lot better with a little more room to live.
That trip eventually led to six months spent building our first camper van in my parents garage, and the beginning of what East Coast Vanlife is today.
After that first van sold, a small workshop became the next step and East Coast Vanlife began building custom vans for people who wanted to experience the road in their own way.
What started small has continued to grow through creativity, persistence, and a willingness to figure things out along the way. Today East Coast Vanlife has expanded its team, equipment, and capabilities while staying committed to the thing that mattered from the beginning: building something personal.
MEET KYLE
For Kyle, East Coast VanLife grew from many of the things he already loved, travel, creativity, problem solving, and the freedom of seeing where the road takes you.
When he’s not thinking about vans, you’ll usually find him spending time with his wife, sitting around a campfire, traveling, mountain biking, listening to music, or heading out on another road trip.
That same curiosity and sense of adventure still influences the way East Coast Vanlife approaches every build today.
Built for More Than the Road.
Fully custom means being able to build for more than one kind of adventure.
Over the years, East Coast Vanlife has created specialized vehicles for families, dog owners, veterans, and community outreach organizations, using the same custom-building approach to create vehicles around very specific needs.
Different purpose. Different design. Same attention to every detail.
